Knut, the polar bear raised at the Berlin Zoo by Thomas Dörflein, died March 19, 2011. Knut was born December 5, 2006. Thomas Dörflein died September 22, 2008.

Thomas moved in with Knut and raised him after Knut was abandonded as a cub.
