Tele Fest is a celebration of free-heel skiing on the slopes of Beech Mountain Resort. Each year, the Festival has attracted scores of diverse participants from all over the south east and even as far away as New Hampshire to come together and revel in the unique skiing style known as Telemark. Telemark skiing predates modern alpine techniques but continues to capture the interest of skiers due to its beauty and grace. This year’s Tele Fest will feature:
• Skills clinics for all abilities
• A Gear Swap
• A Poker Run
• Group Skiing
• Raffle Prizes
• T-Shirts
TeleFest tickets are $50 and include a lift pass, T-Shirt, and coffee from Bald Guy Brew at his shop atop Beech Mountain – the spectacular “5506” Skybar.
The mission of the High Country Nordic Association is to promote awareness and growth of the sport of Nordic skiing in the high country of North Carolina and the surrounding Appalachian Region.
