ATP’s first Shred for the Cup event, the Rail Jam is coming up this Sunday, January 5th!

Presented by Smith Optics, this event is sure to start the series off right with plenty of great snow for a well rounded and versatile setup designed for all ability levels.

ATP plans to host the event in Candied Appal, which will allow for tons of laps during the jam sessions, without getting tired or winded from hiking. Expect a variety of rail/box choices to ride, all focused in a central location to keep energy and excitement up.

Registration will be held in the Alpine Ski Shop from 9:30-11am, and the event will begin around Noon. A true Jam format can be expected for each category (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Women) where riders can lap the setup as many times as they want.

Spectators are encouraged to watch the event, and free spectator tickets can be picked up in the Main Office as well as the Alpine Ski Shop.

Snow conditions look amazing, and the weather forecast calls for seasonal temperatures, which should make for a great day! Don’t miss out on this first event of the 8th Annual Shred for the Cup Series!

App Terrain Park will kick off the 8th Annual Shred for the Cup Series on Sunday January 5 with the Smith Optics Rail Jam!

The Shred for the Cup series has become the benchmark Park competition series in the region, with 3 events held throughout the winter that test Skiers & Snowboarders skills in several park disciplines (Rail Jam, Big Air, & Slopestyle). As always, the Series has categories for all skill levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanded) of both Skiers & Snowboarders, as well as a dedicated women’s category in both Ski & Board.

Remember that points are given out for placement at each SFTC event, and are tallied throughout the season to determine the overall series winners that receive the coveted cups!

Riders can save money by registering for the entire series, as well as pre-registering before the day of the event. Stop by the ASM Main Office to Pre-Register & Save. A Downloadable Registration form is available HERE. All competitors receive lunch and Shred for the Cup Series T-Shirts in addition to entry into the event.

Registration will be held in the Alpine Ski Shop (Lower level of Lodge) from 9-11:00am. A warm up session will be available for competitors from 10:30 – 11:30 with a rider meeting at 11:45. The event is scheduled to begin at 12 Noon.

Free Event Spectator tickets are available at registration and at the main office for and are required for slope access to watch the event without ski/snowboard equipment.
